“Gear junkies who have an obscene amount of gadgets to pack at all times will love this pack — there is a spot for just about everything . . . You will have trouble finding many good packs on the market that provide the same volume for less money.” Eastman’s Hunting Journal, July 2008.

Take one look at the new Killshot in Realtree AP camo, and you’ll know the guys who built it are not new to hunting. At 3,000 cubic inches, this pack is perfectly designed to accommodate enough gear for a couple of nights in the woods, in any terrain, any time of the year. But it’s also the perfect size for those half-day hunts, thanks to the Raptor compression straps, which to reduce the pack to a third of its normal size. Making the real killshot is up to you, but with this pack you’ll be ready to load up a boned-out deer, hike back to the truck, and be home in time to pick junior up from soccer practice.

Features include the Hawk-Eye binocular strap system, Silent Stalk quick-ejection clips for dropping the pack in a hurry, blaze orange pull-out rain fly, bottom and top lashing points for external storage, drop-down scabbard for secure rifle storage, internal spotting scope sleeve, dual shoulder strap pockets for radios, phones and GPS. And like most other Timber Hawk packs, this model comes with a two-liter hydration bladder, and can carry a bow in several different ways.

At six pounds, the Killshot is the lightest pack in its size category. Some people will ask, “What difference can a few ounces or a pound make in a backpack, especially if you need it to be strong?” Our designers have been studying the designs of pack companies outside the hunting industry, and have watched technology and innovation lead to the creation of high-capacity backpacks that are strong, yet light as a feather. So our answer to the weight question is, “Why should we settle for heavy packs, just because they’re camo? Why hasn’t the hunting industry evolved with the same kind of innovation found in other industries?”
